+ Girls on the Run +
Girls on the Run is a non profit organization that the women of Gamma Phi Beta hold close to our hearts. Girls on the Run is a physical activity-based positive youth development program designed to enhance girls' social, emotional and physical skills and behaviors to successfully navigate life experiences. The program places an emphasis on developing competence, connection, character, caring and contribution in young girls through lessons that incorporate running and other activities. The program is delivered by caring and competent coaches who are trained to teach lessons! Girls On the Run inspires young girls to be healthy and confident, using curriculum that integrates running. At the end of the year, the young girls celebrate finishing their curriculum with a 5K run in which we run and celebrate with them. Sacramento State, Gamma Phi Beta is a proactive sorority which is shown through our hours of preparation and dedication while running with the girls on their big day! With the money that we raise and donate to Girls on the Run, they are able to invest more into their program, along with enhance the experience for the young girls.

+ Moonball +
Moonball is Gamma Phi Beta's philanthropy event. We host a volleyball tournament where other collegiate chapters from our school participate. Moonball takes place during our spring semester. The week leading up to Moonball, we have a booth in the quad where we host a coin drive, sell wristbands and assist with any questions. We also sell shirts in order to raise money for this event! Each sister of Gamma Phi Beta is assigned to a participating team and we cheer them on with signs, chants and snacks as they compete in our volleyball tournament. Needless to say this event is a blast!
